Detailed job description
Design & Development: Design and develop press tool, mold, die, and assembly fixture designs through CAD software. Manufacturing Support: Coordinate manufacturing and maintenance of tools to facilitate prototype and mass production operations. Maintenance & Repair: Coordinate preventive and predictive tool and fixture maintenance, controlling spare parts and repair expenses. Quality Assurance: Track tool performance and mold condition, detecting and correcting problems to maintain product quality. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for tooling and fixturing design, fabrication, and maintenance. Production Coordination: Work with production teams and other departments to resolve tooling issues and support smooth operations. Record Keeping: Keep records of tool maintenance, repairs, and history for effective management. Skills & Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM software for tool design and familiarity with conventional and advanced machines (lathe, mill, grinder, EDM, Wire EDM). Design & Analysis: Skill to read technical drawings, conduct feasibility studies, and comprehend intricate assemblies and components. Maintenance Expertise: Hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing numerous tools and fixtures. Soft Skills: Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities, coupled with the capacity to collaborate in a cross-functional team. Educational Background: An engineering or related discipline degree is usually preferred, or equivalent such as HNC or BTec. Hiring for freshers and Tamil speaking candidates
