The
first step to integrating Apple Mail with ProtonMail is to install the
ProtonMail Bridge. Start by heading over to ProtonMail's official page and
downloading the application for your macOS system. Upon opening the app, enter
your credentials to log in. Once logged in, the application will provide your
enhanced IMAP and SMTP settings.
Next,
open Apple Mail and select the ‘Mail’ menu option, then navigate to the ‘Add
Account’ tab. From the available options, select ‘Other Mail Account’ and type
in your email address and the password linked to the account you wish to add.
Using the details acquired from the Bridge tool, such as the IMAP and SMTP
configuration, input them when prompted. Configure the security settings to
maintain encryption by enabling SSL/TLS for both the incoming and outgoing
servers.
Once
these steps are completed, you will see your ProtonMail account synced with
your Apple Mail system, allowing you to send and receive encryption-protected
ProtonMail emails on your desktop.
In
case of issues, ensure that both Apple Mail and the ProtonMail Bridge are
updated to their latest versions. For a seamless experience, refer to
ProtonMail's support page or their team for setup guidance. More Info: https://www.resetprotonpassword.com/ More Info: https://www.resetprotonpassword.com/recovering-your-proton-account-password/
