HBITS NY (Hourly-Based Information Technology Services) is a statewide program managed by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) that provides a simplified and efficient way for government agencies to hire qualified IT professionals on an hourly basis. Through the HBITS contract, state and local agencies, public authorities, and eligible non-profit organizations can quickly fill temporary or project-based IT positions without going through lengthy procurement processes.The program covers a wide range of roles — including software developers, network administrators, cybersecurity experts, system analysts, and project managers — all categorized by specific skill levels and pre-approved billing rates.
