This is an '87 Kawasaki ninja 500 (ex 500). Very reliable, good on gas (around 300km to a $16 tank). Sufficient but easy-to-control power in the lower end, and once you get up higher it REALLY takes off. I haven't ridden this bike hard at all, I rode it back and forth to work almost exclusively. Honestly I can count the number of times I've taken it past 8000 rpm on my hands. The power level is good for both a beginner and an experienced rider.
